Dr. Harvey Blankenstein

Dr. Harvey Blankenstein graduated with his MD degree from the University Of Toronto and completed his Family Medicine Residency at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Obstetrics and Adolescent Medicine and has worked at The Teen Clinic, Hospital for Sick Children and North York General as well as having delivered babies for almost 15 years . He was the past President of the North York General Medical Staff Association and past member of the hospital Board, previous medical consultant to the Ministry Of Health Primary Care Team and was the first Medical Director of the NY Family Health Team. Dr. Blankenstein is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, Department of Family and Community Medicine and teaches students and residents training in Family Practice with an interest in and teaching of Quality Improvement. In addition to his clinical practice, which includes all ages and full spectrum family medicine with office procedures , he is currently a Peer leader with OntarioMD (eHealth strategy) and sits on the Health Inquiry Panel at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. 

Dr. Sze Wai (Amy) Chan

Dr. Chan started her practice on November 1, 2023 following Dr. Masters' retirement. She completed her medical school training at University of Toronto in 2019 and subsequently, her Family Medicine residency at North York General Hospital.

Dr. Chan practices comprehensive family medicine and also works part-time as a surgical assistant in the operating room.

Dr. Shayne Friedman

Dr. Teresa Goldenberg

Dr Teressa Goldenberg graduated McGill University in 1984. Full range family practice. Dr. Goldenberg worked in Oakville from 1985-2004 and in North York from 2004 until now. Dr. Goldenberg has special interest in Obstetrics and Women's health and does circumcisions. Dr. Goldenberg has worked on continuing medical education committees, quality committees in obstetrics, Quality Best Practice Committee for Hyperbilirubinemia at NYGH  and on the Provincial Advisory Committee for Post Partum Care.

Dr. Samuel Krausz

Dr. Krausz began his career studying computer science and working at IBM before deciding to change paths and focus on medicine. After completing his MD at the University of Western Ontario, he moved to Vancouver, BC where he completed his residency in Family Medicine at St. Paul’s Hospital with the University of British Columbia.

In 2014, Dr. Krausz returned to his hometown of Toronto, Ontario, where he started his family practice following Dr. Shub’s retirement.

Dr. Maria Muraca

Dr. Maria Muraca completed her medical degree at the University of Toronto.  She went on to receive her Family Medicine training at Mount Sinai Hospital through the University of Toronto.  In addition to her family practice, she is a consultant in the High Risk Breast and Ovarian Cancer Clinic at North York General Hospital.  She also enjoys working as a surgical assistant in the department of General Surgery at North York General Hospital.  Since May 2016, she was appointed as Medical Director of the North York Family Health Team.  She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, Department of Family and Community Medicine, and teaches medical students and residents training in family medicine.  Dr. Muraca enjoys performing small procedures including mole removals and biopsies, skin cancer treatment and IUD insertions.  Outside of work she enjoys dancing ballet, cooking and spending time with her 2 sons

Dr. Karen Weisz

Dr. rebecca Berliner

Dr. Rebecca Zendel Berliner completed her medical degree at the University of Toronto. She went on to complete her Family Medicine residency at North York General Hospital through the University of Toronto. She then completed an Enhanced Skills course in Breast Diseases at Princess Margaret Hospital and Women's College Hospital through the University of Toronto. In addition to her family practice, she works providing Telemedicine to rural Ontario communities and teaches a medical school course on clinical skills at the University of Toronto. Dr. Berliner has a special interest and enhanced skills in women's health, cancer survivorship, breast diseases and psychotherapy. In addition to her family practice, she works at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in the High Risk Breast Cancer Clinic.
